A bunch of Verizon-locked Galaxy Phones receiving July 2025 Security Update in the US

Samsung is currently looking towards expanding the latest July 2025 security update for a bunch of Galaxy devices in the US, including its foldables and the Fan Edition models.

The company has already started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S21 FE 5G, and Galaxy S21 FE 5G (2022), that significantly integrates the latest July 2025 security patch and is currently available in the US on the Verizon network. At the same time, the update is identified with their detectable version numbers, listed below:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 3 F926USQSDKYFD
  • Galaxy Z Flip 3 F711USQSEKYFD
  • Galaxy S23 FE S711USQS6DYG1
  • Galaxy S21 FE 5G G990USQSIHYG1
  • Galaxy S21 FE 5G (2022) G990U2SQSGHYG1

As usual, Samsung’s monthly security patches, however, don’t bring any major changes and features; instead, they significantly focus on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality.

Similarly, the July security update also packs a host of fixes brought up by both Google and Samsung collectively for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous version to offer a more secure user experience while also protecting the device against sophisticated threats.

On the other hand, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually leads to a more smooth, stable and much more optimized experience to the users.
