Galaxy S24 Series, Z Fold 6, Flip 6 Get Latest Security Update in the USA

Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 are top contenders to get early access to One UI 8 through the beta program. But as of writing, the Galaxy S25 is the only device running in the beta program, and there is a high possibility that the next turn to get access is for one of these older flagship devices in the coming days. However, before the One UI 8 access, the company is rolling out the July 2025 patch.
Samsung has already introduced the July 2025 patch for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 devices in South Korea. After that, the Korean giant is gradually expanding the update to more countries; like now, it is in the US.
However, the update for Galaxy S24 Series is spotted on the unlocked variant with the version S92*U1UES4BYF5. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are getting the new update on carrier-locked variants with version numbers F956USQS2BYFC and F741USQS2BYFC, respectively. More specifically, the update is spotted on T-Mobile and MetroPCS.
The July 2025 update comes with the standard changelog, which doesn’t mention any changes specifically, but it is expected that the company could bring some internal changes that will ensure smoother performance.
If you are using the Galaxy S24 unlocked variant or using the Galaxy Z Fold 6, flip 6 locked versions in the US, then you should have started getting the notification on your device. If you still don’t get the update yet, then it is expected that it will gradually become available to every unit, so you have to wait for your device’s turn.
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S24 as the first device eligible to get seven years of software support, where it has already grabbed One UI 7 as the one, and it will still get six more updates in the coming years. Following it, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 were the first foldables to be available with seven years of software updates.
