Galaxy Watch 8 Can’t Pair with Android 16

Samsung just unveiled its next-generation wearables, the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, at the Galaxy Unpacked event a few days ago, but it appears as if the newest models do not like the latest Android version.
The Galaxy Watch 8 series arrived with One UI 8 Watch out of the box, which significantly runs Google’s Wear OS 6, becoming the first wearables to be released on the stable version.
From enhanced tile management to a much more improved UI, indeed the newly launched Galaxy watches shine bright at every single aspect. However, despite being so well-refined, a report (via 9To5Google) claims that the Watch 8 series has compatibility issues with the latest Android version.
More specifically, users on Reddit have reported that they are unable to pair their Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 to their phone running Android 16 QPR1 beta.
The users are facing some severe compatibility issues with the immature version of Google’s newest software. At the same time, this similar issue arose when pairing up the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic with the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold running Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2.1.
Beyond this, the source further mentioned that they have even tried to download the Watch Manager plugin via the Galaxy Wearable app on their Galaxy Watch 8, but unfortunately the installation failed and the app suddenly stopped working. This, apparently, resulted in the repetition of the entire process again, and it was even required to restart the watch.
Well, Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy Watch 8 series indeed comes with some major features and upgrades. Hopefully, this weird issue could be resolved as soon as possible.
