Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy Tab S10 Lite appears on BIS certification

Samsung is developing two new devices to launch this year: the Galaxy A17 5G and the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, both of which have been spotted on the BIS.

Today, Samsung will launch a bunch of the latest devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip FE, Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), at the Unpacked event.

Meanwhile, under the hood, Samsung is also working on a mid-range Galaxy A17 5G and a tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. Last week, both of these devices made their appearance on the FCC certification.

Reportedly (via), both devices have been spotted on the BIS certification with a dedicated model number as mentioned below –

  • Galaxy A17 5G – SM-A176B/DS
  • Galaxy Tab S10 Lite – SM-X400 and SM-X406B

The last two letters in Galaxy A17’s model number, ‘DS’, here indicate dual SIM support. Notably, the device has already appeared with the same model number in several other certifications in recent days, suggesting a near launch.

Apart from the model number, the listing hasn’t revealed any other major or key specifications of both devices. A few days back, the Galaxy A17 5G was spotted on the SGS certification, according to which it will have a 4,860mAh battery which is expected to be marketed as 5,000mAh along with a charging rating is 9V 2.77A, which could be 25W.
