One UI 8 to add a Dynamic Effect feature for photos in the Gallery

Samsung’s One UI 8 is currently moving on the right track, and looks like the company is already preparing for releasing the stable version as early as possible. Since the internal test builds have surfaced on various Galaxy devices so far, now, a new report claims that the latest version hides an interesting feature.

The latest Android 16-based One UI 8 is the new talk of the town for a while now! Well, a new stable test build of Galaxy S25 model running One UI 8 has just surfaced online, carrying version S938BXXU5BYG1 (via Tarun Vats), which is; however, not developed to be distributed publicly to all the users but it suggests that Samsung is testing the latest build on its internal servers.

On the other hand, the tipster Ice Universe further discovered that a new Dynamic Effect feature has been spotted with One UI 8. But the tipster calls it a useless feature, anyways.

The feature looks fun at first sight; however, this new feature is more or less similar to Samsung’s Live Effect feature that Galaxy devices already have. At the same time, the newly-discovered Dynamic Effect feature has some better capabilities. The video shared by the tipster displays a name that labels Dynamic Effect underneath the picture of the flower.

More specifically, it can be easily seen through the video that the still image of the flower gets automatically converted into a short animated clip when the Dynamic Effect label is tapped, which resembles itself with the live effect feature. At the same time, users can easily move the subject right, left, sideways or upwards, providing an exact feel like they are moving a real flower physically.

Well, it indeed remains to be seen whether the newly-discovered Dynamic Effect feature arrives as a dedicated functionality in the Samsung Gallery app or not
