One UI 8 could bring a distinctive Adaptive Lock Screen Clock feature

Samsung is preparing itself to release its new major OS, One UI 8, while the next generation Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will debut the latest version on board. With Samsung taking small steps towards the One UI 8’s official launch, a new feature could excite fans as it’s arriving with the upcoming OS.
Basically, a tipster, ICE CAT on X shared an information, depicting that Samsung appears to be adding an all new feature, named adaptive lock screen clock, while the functionality has been spotted live on the Galaxy S25 Ultra running One UI 8.

More specifically, the tipster shared a video where it can be seen that Samsung has added a new elastic adjustment effect on the phone’s lock screen clock. The working mechanism of this feature is; however, simple but more distinctive at the same time, where the lock screen clock automatically adjusts by contracting and extending itself according to the object’s outline applied in the phone’s wallpaper.
Beyond this, the lock screen clock looks much more promising, at the same time, a kind of depth effect clocks is already present in Apple’s iPhone models, and Samsung perhaps wants to stand out from others and that’s the reason why the Korean firm created its own distinctive feature that could transform the clock, while also making it look unique as well.
Well, Samsung’s One UI 8 is currently running on a beta phase for the Galaxy S25 series, with two beta builds already released earlier. Hopefully, the company could add the latest Adaptive lock screen clock feature with the future One UI 8 updates.
