One UI 8 could add more new significant functions for Now Brief

Samsung introduced a stunning feature, named Now Brief with One UI 7 which debuted with the Galaxy S25 series at the beginning of this year. With the function already proving itself useful, Samsung appears to be making it more interactive with the next gen One UI 8.

Well, Now Brief, a feature that provides more personalized insights, while also making it sure that the data remains secure and private with the help of Samsung Knox Vault at the same time. It suggests significant briefs to the users throughout the day that are easily accessible via the Now Bar on the phone’s lock screen.

Basically, so far, Samsung has provided a limited number of activities that will be displayed via the Now Brief; a new report flashed recently via Android Authority, which claims that One UI 8 has some room for new additions.

More specifically, the source suggested that when digged into a leaked One UI 8 beta firmware carrying BYFB build, Now Brief has some extra functions or contents, consisting of smart home alerts, parking spot reminders and wearable battery alerts alongside various existing functions.

In simple words, it looks like Samsung will be allowing users to pick which type of content they want to be displayed on the Now Brief. Picking parking spot reminder primarily, there’s a small catch as perhaps, users will only be able to receive reminders for the pictures taken when setting is enabled.

Beyond this, smart home alerts sound like users will receive various briefs about their smart home devices, while wearable battery alerts is another significant addition that offers alerts as soon as the battery declines of the user’s Galaxy Watches or Galaxy Buds. Well, the One UI 8 is currently under development and it will be interesting to see how Samsung will implement these functions within Now Brief.
