Samsung couldn’t release the XR Headset completely at the event

Samsung is rumored to hold the July Unpacked 2025 event on July 9, and it seems that it is not ready to introduce “Project Moohan” at the event as it is facing production issues.

Samsung has already teased its first-ever XR Headset code code-named Project Moohan, on several occasions: for instance, initially it offered a first glimpse of the headset at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025 alongside the Galaxy S25 series launch. Months back,  Google successfully held its I/O event, at which it announced that Samsung will launch its Project Moohan based on Android XR “later this year.”

A few days back, it was reported that Samsung’s Project Moohan could debut at the July Unpacked 2025 event, and initially it will be launched in South Korea and may expand to more regions afterwards. However, that’s not the case anymore since a new report suggests that the company is not completely ready to launch the headset.

A tipster, PandaFlash, on X, shared a post stating that the Korean tech giant is struggling with some part production issues for “Project Moohan.” This could force the company to delay the release or make it available in limited quantities at first.

Noticeably, the tipster also mentioned, “Information is 100% confirmed.” This suggests that Samsung could not introduce Project Moohan at the Unpacked event. However, the company hasn’t released any official word regarding the headset production issue, so it remains to be seen whether this report will come true.
