Samsung published the next chapter of maintenance release for its Galaxy devices as a part of its monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR) package.
This Android Security Bulletin for the June 2025 security patch brings various patches from both Samsung and Google, offering a more efficient and secure user experience.

First up, the SMR package integrates various patches from Google in the form of CVE items, where there are 36 high-level CVEs, 1 CVE item has already been included in the previous updates, and 5 CVEs are not applicable for Samsung Galaxy devices. The latest June 2025 security release also includes 10 CVE items from Samsung Semiconductor, in addition to the Google patches.
Meanwhile, accompanied by Google and Samsung Semiconductor patches, Samsung Mobile also provides 19 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs) items, including patches for AudioService, Samsung Cloud for Galaxy Watch, ThemeManager, Screen Capture for Galaxy Watch, and Bluetooth.
All in all, the latest June 2025 security package significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality, which provides a more secure user experience while also protecting the device against external threats.
Well, following the same pattern, Samsung has officially removed a few Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, Tab S6 Lite, and Galaxy M42 5G, from the SMR list. This means that these Galaxy models will no longer receive security patches from Samsung in the future.
