Galaxy Z Flip 7 could  be powered by Exynos in the US

Samsung is supposed to debut the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July, which is rumored to be powered by the Exynos chipset in the US market, also.

The Korean tech giant is getting ready to hold the Galaxy Unpacked event in July to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. To date, Samsung has only confirmed that the devices will run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box. Apart from this, there’s no official report regarding the specifications of the device, not even chipsets.

Initially, it was rumored that Samsung would use its in-house Exynos chipset to power the Galaxy Z Flip 7, widely ditching Snapdragon. However, a few days back, it was reported that the company will use the Exynos 2500 chipset only for the Korean Galaxy Z Flip 7 variant. Whereas, in the rest of the regions, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.

Now, one of our reliable colleagues, SamMobile, reported that a new Galaxy Z Flip 7 firmware for the US has been spotted online, which makes it pretty clear that the processor inside the phone is the Exynos 2500.

Based on the recent reports, it is expected that the company will use Exynos 2500  for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in the US and Korea. However, there are still no official words regarding the chipset of the coming flip phone. It will be interesting to see exactly what will happen next, whether the device will be based on Exynos or Snapdragon.
