Samsung revamps the Reminder app & Quick Share with One UI 8

Samsung opened the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series users, offering a golden chance to try out the new features and improvements the latest update brings, even before the stable release. The beta update brings a notable design change for the Quick Share and Reminder apps with One UI 8.

Samsung, via the One UI 8 beta update, revamped the Reminder app and made it more convenient for users’ travel companion, as it now offers more user-friendly and intuitive features. For instance, if you are going somewhere, you can easily manage all the travel reminders in one place.

Now the app showcases categories right on the main screen in rounded boxes, unlike One UI 7, which keeps categories hidden in a side menu. Samsung has offered an icon, a name, and a number to each box, showing how many reminders are in that category.

It also allows you to share a to-do list with one tap and even add new reminders via voice command by using a microphone icon at the bottom right corner.

Samsung has also revamped the Quick Share app with the One UI 8 update, as the sharing of photos, videos, and files with family and friends is now faster and easier with the Quick Share button in the Quick Settings menu. One UI 8 placed two new tabs at the top, one for sending and one for receiving files, which will be convenient for users to find what they need instantly.
