Carrier-locked Galaxy S24 receives the May 2025 security patch in the US

Samsung is rolling out the latest May 2025 security patch for all the eligible Galaxy devices from all around the world. Now, the Galaxy S24 series has started receiving the update in the US.

Specifically, the May 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra has started expanding in the US and is available for the Verizon and USCellular carrier-locked models carrying the build numbers, S921USQS4BYE4, S926USQS4BYE4 and S928USQS4BYE4, respectively.

The update’s wider availability to more regions is expected in the near future. Meanwhile, the update; however, doesn’t bring any major features and upgrades; rather, it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality.

The update brings a host of key fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the previous version in order to offer a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats. Also, the update adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior and brings certain performance optimisations that eventually leads to a smoother, stable and optimised functionality to the users.

Well, the latest security patch is currently available for the carrier-locked Galaxy S24 series in the US, while more units will join shortly. At the same time, the S24 family has already received One UI 7 stable update in several regions as well.
