One UI 8 with Android 16 Rolling Out Soon on First Galaxy Device

Samsung Galaxy devices will begin receiving the Android 16 version soon! Well, Google has officially confirmed that the latest Android 16 is going to be available for Samsung Galaxy devices beginning this summer.
Basically, Google conducted The Android Show: I/O Edition, where the president of the Android ecosystem, Sameer Samat, took charge to unveil the key highlights of the biggest Android update ever while also confirming that Android 16 is paving its way to the users even sooner, with Pixel devices joining next month, followed by Samsung Galaxy devices this summer.

Well, One UI 8 will run Android 16 on top, the latest version that will refresh the entire Galaxy smartphone lineup has been constantly in the headlines. Samsung is supposed to begin the One UI 8 beta program later this month, and if everything goes smoothly, the One UI 8 beta cycle will possibly be on the right track as Android 16’s launch appears to match the previously targeted June 2025 timeline.
Indeed, the show also unveiled some unwavering features of Android 16 that will top up on Galaxy devices with One UI 8. These include the new Material 3 Expressive design, Gemini Live, Gemini integration across devices, and finally, more improved safety and security capabilities.
Moreover, among the newer upcoming Galaxy devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 models are supposed to be arriving with One UI 8-based Android 16 pre-installed. On the other hand, the Galaxy devices are said to receive Android 16 (One UI 8) by June this year.
