Samsung to add 12GB virtual RAM option via RAM Plus feature with One UI 8

Samsung Galaxy phones consist of RAM Plus feature since 2021, with One UI 8 being next in line; a recent report suggests that Samsung is supposed to add a 12GB option within the RAM Plus section in One UI 8, but not for all storage variants!
The RAM Plus feature belongs to the storage category, which significantly allows phones to expand their memory by using internal storage as Virtual RAM. At the same time, this virtual memory lets more apps remain open and work in the background.

Initially, with One UI 7, Galaxy phone owners had certain options, ranging from 2GB to maximum 8GB of storage for expanded internal storage or virtual RAM. Basically, devices have limitations to pick virtual RAM up to 8GB maximum. Now, according to a user, DalgleishGX via X, Samsung is working on allowing Galaxy phones with 12GBs of RAM to use 12GBs of virtual RAM via the RAM Plus feature with One UI 8.
However, this information can’t be considered as true at this point of time since One UI 8 is still in its early development stages and Samsung could look forward to adding certain new features and enhancements within the next major OS skin.
Also, rumours had already begun circulating regarding One UI 8, including the addition of the Galaxy AI-powered video summary feature, and display call logs on home screen via a new widget. Well, it was also rumoured that Samsung’s One UI 8 could possibly bring features that were supposed to arrive with One UI 7.1, but let’s just wait and see.
