Galaxy S22+ spotted running One UI 7, major Galaxy AI features missing

One UI 7 has been in the headlines for a few days due to the delay in the stable rollout process; meanwhile, the latest version has just been spotted running on the Galaxy S22+ before arriving officially on the device!

It’s surprising! There’s some time left as the stable One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S22 series has been scheduled somewhere in May 2025; a video via Reddit showcases the S22+ running One UI 7 version, while also revealing a few Galaxy AI features may arrive with the official update.

Basically, the video suggested that the Galaxy S22+ device was running One UI 7 via the Remote Test lab method. It eventually simulated only a few Galaxy AI features; however, Samsung will not introduce most of them with the Galaxy S22 series in future. At the same time, it appears like the Now Bar feature is running on the S22+ model but only brings the media playback function within the device.

On the other hand, it looks like Samsung will tune down One UI 7’s Now Bar to more older generation Galaxy devices, meanwhile, the Now Bar feature running on the Galaxy S22+ isn’t happening for the first time.

Since the Galaxy S22 series is not supposed to receive all the major Galaxy AI features that arrived with the Galaxy S25 lineup, including Now Brief, Audio Eraser, Drawing Assist and many other AI functions, Now Bar seems to make its way to this 2022 flagship. Well, it can now be concluded that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is going to get a modified version of full-fledged Galaxy AI.
