Secure Folder isn’t very secure with the One UI 7 update

Samsung has just stopped the One UI 7 expansion for Galaxy devices worldwide. The reason behind it is reportedly due to some bugs related ti the unlock function crashes. Now, according to a new report here a new security concern is also been spotted in the Secure Folder.
According to the report, the Secure Folder doesn’t apply the proper mechanism to protect the photos to display on the auto stories features, which is breaching the security.
In detail, when you open the Gallery app in the Good Lock application, it actually opens the contents visible and accessible outside of the Secure Folder, through the auto-generated stories.
It is worth noticing that this issue is related to the One UI 7 so if you are using any of the devices which are running any of the devices, including Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Flip 6, you may face the issue while using the Secure Folder.
However, this privacy breach can be stopped by doing some simple steps to deactivate the feature. To do that you just need to open the Gallery app in the Secure Folder, then tap on the menu button and select settings, and turn off auto-create stories. As it is a temporary solution, we hope that Samsung could introduce the proper fix for the update.
