Android Auto replacing Google assistant with Gemini, starts with ditching mic icon

Google is planning to replace the Google assistant with Gemini for the Car infotainment system, Android Auto. Now, with the latest development, it is reported that the older mic icon is removed, and it could add other changes could be added with the next updates.

Android Auto to get Gemini feature 

Google is all set to bring the AI capabilities to the infotainment system and it has begun the integration with ditching the Google assistant. It indicates that Google is ready to switch. 

According to a report, Google had ditched the gemini assistant colored microphone to a simple white design.  However, currency when tapping on it still brings the old interface.

However, this isn’t the finished icon but it is expected that Android Auto is working on several new changes for the interface as the report further claims that Android auto will replace the iconed with a purple gradient mic icon to fit better with Gemini branding.

With the capability of Gemini, Android Auto users will get several benefits like instant descriptions or reviews about any place. It can make compariseron about prices of fuel in the real time according to location and many more.

As far as the availability is concerned, there is no official information available about it but according to the pace of development, it seems that Android Auto is expected to be available in the coming soon to the Android auto devices.
