Galaxy S21 FE units receiving March 2025 Security Update across the US

Samsung is still continuing with the March 2025 security update for its Galaxy devices, while fans are curiously waiting for the One UI 7 stable release. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 FE units are receiving the update across the US market.
The March 2025 security update hit the Galaxy S21 FE smartphones in Europe last week; now the company is expanding the update to both the carrier-locked and unlocked units in the US.
Specifically, the firmware for the carrier-locked (T-Mobile, US Cellular, MetroPCS, and Dish Wireless) Galaxy S21 Fan Edition models is identified with the G990USQSFGYC1 build number, while the unlocked devices come with the G990U1UESFGYC1 version number.
The latest March update only packs various security patches; however, it doesn’t bring any major features and changes; rather, it primarily aims to add improvements to the device’s overall security and core functionality.
It integrates a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous version in order to provide a more safe and secure user experience while also protecting their device against potential threats.
In addition, the update further adds stability to the overall system behavior for efficient functionality and even brings certain performance optimizations that significantly lead to a smoother, more optimized, and more stable UI and UX.
Moreover, the update is now available in the US, thus Samsung’s 2021 Fan Edition owners can download the latest version on their devices when available.
