Samsung’s March 2025 security update hit the Galaxy S21 series last week, while the Galaxy S25 lineup received the update this week. Now, the company is expanding the latest software for the 2022 smartphone lineup, the S22, which is available in the US region.
The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra units have begun receiving the March 2025 security update in the US, and is now available for the carrier-locked (T-Mobile, USCellular, Dish Wireless, and MetroPCS) models.
Specifically, the update for all three smartphones is recognized with the S901USQS8EYC1, S906USQS8EYC1 and S908USQS8EYC1 build numbers, respectively. At the same time, the update apparently doesn’t introduce any new feature or changes; rather it significantly adds a lot of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the previous version in order to improve device’s overall security and core functionality.
Accompanied by certain fixes, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior and brings several performance optimizations that eventually leads to a more smooth and efficient user experience.
Therefore, the Galaxy S22 series owners can now download and install the latest update on their devices, when available. Also, the update will be expanded for the US unlocked models over the next coming days.
