Android 16 Beta 3.1 lands with some key bug fixes and issues

Google’s next major OS, Android 16 has just entered into the platform stability stage as the company has rolled out Beta 3 last week and with that it has now moved closer to its stable release. Meanwhile, the build is followed with a new Beta 3.1 update that’s now available for the Pixel devices.

Substantially, Google found some severe bugs flashed with the recently released Android 16 beta 3 build, and thus the company followed a x.1 build that brought about some significant bug fixes.

Google took it to Reddit to announce that a new Android 16 Beta 3.1 build has just begun rolling out for all the eligible Pixel devices, which primarily focuses on fixing some severe bugs, while also integrating the similar March 2025 security patch level in order to offer a smooth and secure user experience.

Specifically, the latest Beta 3.1 build fixes the system settings app crashing issues, fixes an issue where there was an excessive battery drain from high CPU load, and finally, it even fixes the inconsistency between the app-specified screen brightness settings and system-specific screen brightness settings.

Now that Google’s Android 16 is constantly moving towards its stability stage, aiming to follow the right timeline track of June 2025 release; on the comparison side Samsung is also looking dedicated towards fastening its One UI 7 rollout to all the eligible Galaxy devices, so that it could begin work on One UI 8 that will run Android 16 on board.
