While Samsung is the first to drop the latest security patches, its Galaxy devices have slowly started receiving the February 2025 security update in different parts of the world. It started with the flagships, the S24 lineup, and is now getting expanded to more eligible smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold Special Edition.
It’s spotted that Samsung’s February 2025 security update rollout has started for its foldables: Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold Special Edition in South Korea, which will get expanded to even more regions shortly.
Meanwhile, the newest update for the book-style foldables, the Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, can be identified with the F956NKSS2AYAA and F741NKSS2AYAA version numbers, while the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition comes with the F958NKSS2AYAA build number.

Although the latest February patch doesn’t mention any major changes or features, it seems to be significantly focused on improving the overall system security by integrating a lot of fixes addressed by both Google and Samsung collectively that in turn allow users to have a more safe and secure experience while also protecting the device against potential threats.

At the same time, the update further adds stability to the overall system’s behavior and functionality, offering an efficient and stable user experience alongside various performance optimizations.
