One UI 7.0 Update Adds More Control with Now Bar on AOD

Samsung’s One UI 7 brought about a lot of impressive features and upgrades to the existing functionalities, with the Now Bar being one of them that not only gives a visual overhaul but also shows off all the key details at a glance via the phone’s lock screen without the need to unlock the device.

Get all the One UI 7 Now Bar activities easily on your Galaxy device’s Always on Display

Meanwhile, the One UI 7’s Now Bar works on AOD (Always on Display) and the lock screen at the same time, which means users will be able to get all the key information, like tracking their health and wellness data, playing or pausing the stopwatch, applying a timer, monitoring exercise and workouts on a daily basis, and much more.

Alternatively, in case the Now Bar is already activated on the device’s AOD, users will be able to double tap on the Now Bar on AOD to quickly access the details. This enables users to get quickly into the details of the information without having to take the stress of opening each activity by unlocking the device.

Apart from this, even the Galaxy S24 series owners can access the Now Bar functionality on the device with AOD mode, while Samsung’s latest Galaxy S25 series arrived with Android 15-based One UI 7 pre-installed, out of the box, thus suggesting that the Now Bar will seamlessly work on AOD alongside the lock screen.

Well, Samsung has recently upgraded its One UI 7’s Now Bar functionality by introducing a smarter Now Brief feature that’s basically a daily summary of the functions that are supported in Now Bar, making it a way easier for the users to get key information at a glance. Also, it’s likely that Samsung may bring live updates, like food delivery updates or cab live updates, via the Now Bar in the future.
