Samsung unveiled new Eclipsa audio-powered soundbars and TVs

Samsung has unveiled its forthcoming soundbars and TVs along with a new three-dimensional (3D) audio technology called Eclipsa Audio.

The Korean tech giant is all set to expand its TV lineup, as it already announced its upcoming brand-new TVs ranging from Crystal UHD TVs to Neo QLED 8K TVs and will feature a new audio technology co-developed with Google.

Samsung has new TVs in line to launch in 2025 which will feature Eclipsa Audio, which is a new audio technology to stand strong against its rival Dolby Atmos. Samsung collaborated with Google under the Alliance for Open Media’s (AOM) Immersive Audio Model and Formats (IAMF) format.

Samsung states that Eclipsa Audio is compatible with delivering captivating spatial audio to TV viewers and empowers creators to craft dynamic and immersive audio content. It will also permit creators and directors to conveniently adjust the locations and intensity of sounds and spatial reflections to make audio more immersive.

Creators can start uploading videos with Eclipsa Audio to YouTube whereas viewers with YouTube subscriptions can watch those videos with premium spatial audio. On the other hand, Google and Samsung are gearing up with the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) to develop a certification program for devices that can playback Eclipsa Audio.
