Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim could launch sooner than expected

Samsung is highly anticipated to debut a new variant under the forthcoming Galaxy S25 series named the Galaxy S25 Slim. The company could unveil the device at the Galaxy Unpacked event despite previous rumors suggesting a Q2 2025 release.
A new report from Fnnews suggests that Samsung may unveil the Galaxy S25 Slim at Unpacked next month, against previous rumors. Previously, it was reported that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 Slim in the second quarter of 2025. Now, a new report suggests that the launch is scheduled for the Galaxy Unpacked event.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be lighter and thinner as compared to the standard variant of the series named the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. It seems that the company could give a sneak peek of the Slim device at the Unpacked event on 22 January 2025.
On the rival side, Apple is also gearing up to debut its next-generation device, the iPhone 17 Air, in late 2025, which will stand strong with a thickness between 5 mm and 6 mm to compete with the Galaxy S25 Slim with a 6.x mm thickness. Recently, it was reported that the Galaxy S25 Slim will feature a triple camera setup, including a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto. The Korean tech giant is rumored to debut the Galaxy S25 Slim globally.
Since Samsung has yet to reveal the official launch date for the Galaxy S25 Slim, for now it remains unclear whether the slim device will launch along with the standard Galaxy S25 lineup at the Galaxy Unpacked event.
