Google TV Expands Content Offering with 10 New Free Channels

Google TV is a smart TV experience that permits you to access your streaming content in one place without even asking to switch between apps. To enhance the user experience, Google TV has picked up 10 new free streaming channels.

Back in 2023, Google introduced FAST channels to Google TV, which offers free access to channels such as Reuters Now, BBC Earth, Love Nature, and more, without even asking to sign up or download any specific app.

Google TV offers over 800 ad-supported channels from sources such as Plex, Tubi, Haystack, and more. Now Google TV is expanding its reach by adding 10 new free channels to its growing library, bringing the total to over 100 with the June 2024 update.

These channels arrive in addition to the 800+ ad-supported options that already exist from various sources.

The newly added channels are being speculated by StreamingBetter, and they bring the curated collection’s total to over 130 FAST channels. The list of the latest channels is mentioned below:

  • FilmRise Western
  • ION+
  • Johnny Carson TV
  • Noticias Telemundo Ahora
  • Property and Reno
  • The Real Disaster Channel
  • Supermarket Sweep
  • The FBI Files
  • The World’s Wildest Police Videos
  • Yahoo Finance

Now Google offers 135 free channels within Google TV that don’t ask you to download or launch a separate app. A couple of weeks ago, the giant also introduced its new Google TV Network, which will offer brands an opportunity to target viewers on Google TV devices and smart TVs with ads. This new network will permit advertisers to target viewers with various ad formats, including unskippable ads, on over 135 free channels.
