Grab Your Galaxy Tab Active 5 Rugged Tablet: It Is Available In USA

The wait is over here. Finally, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 rugged table is now available in the USA. 

The Korean brand Samsung introduced its brand new rugged tablet, obviously the Galaxy Tab Active 5, a couple of weeks ago. Following the announcement of the device and price, it was expected that the brand would make it available for sale by the end of March 2024. But fortunately, the expectations didn’t come true, and now it’s already available in US markets for purchase. 

Samsung has priced this Galaxy Tab Active 5 at $548.99. Interested people can get it easily through Samsung.com and through select channel partners. The brand has made it available in two variants: LTE and 5G. 

The brand has introduced this Galaxy Tab Active 5, especially for people who usually work in the field and rarely work on smooth scenarios. The Korean giants have offered two standards for the device, which are: 

  • Standard edition 
  • Enterprise editions 

The enterprise edition of the tablet has arrived along with an extra year of warranty as well as the complimentary Knox Suite, which makes it easier for brands to judge, deploy, manage, and secure the model for their employees. It will also get five years of security patches for enhanced reliability and security. 

Galaxy Tab Active 5 specs 

Galaxy Tab Active 5 features an 8-inch LCD display along with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, full HD+ resolution, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Obviously, its body has a rugged design, and to add an extra layer of protection, it has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance as well as MIL-STD-810G compliance for drop and shock resistance. 

Galaxy Tab Active 5 is powered by an Exynos 1380 processor and runs One UI 6.0 based on Android 14. 

The S Pen attached to the device also has an IP68 rating and an Active Key for quick access to desired applications or features. The brand has also assured that the device is also protected in a way so that it can handle scenarios such as drops on concrete surfaces from a height of around 8 feet. It has physical UI navigation buttons and a fingerprint reader, among other things, to enhance the user experience.
