Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6’s Ironflex technology may revolutionize foldable phone design

Even though foldable phones have become the future of smartphones, there are several issues concerning people. The most important thing is the folding screen, which is stopping a few users’ idea of buying a foldable phone. Will this concern be resolved by Samsung in the future? Samsung Display recently applied to the Korean Intellectual Property Office for trademark protection under the term Ironflex.

As far as Samsung’s next foldable phones are concerned, this appears to be the first indication of the revolutionary display technology. Samsung may use a new marketing term called Ironflex to communicate that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, its upcoming foldable phones, will feature more durable internal displays.

The Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) received a registration application from Samsung for the Ironflex trademark on January 3. GalaxyClub reported that the documentation details a “foldable OLED display panel” that can be used with foldable smartphones, tablet PCs, and wearable video display monitors, among other things.

Samsung’s foldable panels had a little bit of a difficult start when they introduced the initial Galaxy Fold five years ago. Several review units’ foldable displays broke due to a misconception about the included screen protector, causing a momentary setback for the phone.

Ironflex could be applied in several product categories, potentially surpassing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, according to the business. The larger screens will also help with future folding tablets and AR/VR eyewear. It’s highly likely that Samsung’s first products to use the Ironflex name will be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, considering the timing of this trademark.
